About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help patients manage their health, from advising on prescriptions to supporting the management of chronic conditions. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Deliver care to patients and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Assist with pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and inventory management.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, and remaining upright for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
