About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while preparing you for a future Pharmacist position.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams in delivering our brand promise and ensuring operations run smoothly.
- Ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while following company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Provide caring service to patients and offer to counsel or field medical questions when appropriate.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and facilitate medication changes.
- Complete basic inventory activities like cycle counts and returns-to-stock.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Complete Technician Immunizer training to educate patients about vaccines and monitor for adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work regular and predictable shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Strong focus, attention to detail, and the ability to pivot between tasks quickly.
- Mathematical skills for calculating prescription dosages and supplies.
- Ability to identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
