About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on delivering care to patients and maintaining a safe, effective work environment. You will help manage patient care programs and contribute to a team culture that values empathy and enthusiasm.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients while following all regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
- Display empathy and compassion toward patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Promote a team culture centered on caring and energy.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and using finger dexterity for scanning and typing.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and the designated timeframe.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
