About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You play a part in patient care, inventory management, and ensuring a safe environment for customers. This is a part-time role designed for students to gain professional experience while supporting our pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and assist with pharmacy professional practice and regulatory compliance.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Handle quality assurance and inventory management tasks.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support customer health.
- Provide immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a team culture of energy, enthusiasm, and care.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, and bend.
- Manual dexterity for typing and handling small items.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Visual acuity for reading and inspecting small parts.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
