About the role#
Pharmacy Interns perform professional pharmacy functions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. You will work in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations to provide pharmaceutical care to patients. This role requires you to demonstrate growth in your clinical knowledge, including interpreting patient data and identifying specific pharmaceutical requirements across acute and ambulatory care settings.
What you'll do#
- Process orders and conduct clinical evaluations.
- Manage inventory control and drug distribution.
- Provide drug information.
- Perform IV compounding.
- Serve as a pharmacy technician or inventory control clerk when the department needs support.
- Ensure all departmental and institutional regulatory compliance standards are met.
What you'll need#
- A valid limited intern permit to practice pharmacy in New York.
- Enrollment in a Pharmaceutical Sciences program.
- Prior experience in an institutional pharmacy is preferred.
