About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will assist in patient care programs, manage pharmacy workflows, and ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance. This role focuses on delivering care to patients and supporting the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients with empathy and compassion.
- Manage patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
- Align team members around the company purpose.
- Facilitate a culture of energy, enthusiasm, and pride within the pharmacy team.
- Perform tasks such as inventory management, workflow organization, and customer service.
- Complete required training and strive to provide immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all training within required state timeframes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
