About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You play a role in maintaining a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment while focusing on patient care. This position is part-time and involves a commitment to team culture, professional growth, and delivering care to patients.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and uphold pharmacy professional practice standards.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service and care to patients.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Foster a team culture built on energy and enthusiasm.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with the team to improve health outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, reach overhead, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for precision tasks like scanning, typing, and handling small items.
- Visual acuity for tasks such as reading, transcribing, and viewing computer terminals.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
