About the role#
As a Health & Safety Engineer Intern or Co-op, you will support operations at our chemical manufacturing site. You will work on projects that drive informed decision-making and help maintain a safe, incident-free workplace. This role provides exposure to Occupational Health, Safety, and Loss Prevention strategies in a real-world industrial setting.
What you'll do#
- Ensure operations remain safe and compliant with company standards.
- Develop and manage systems that improve environmental protection, loss prevention, and process safety.
- Provide proactive solutions based on established safety strategies.
- Verify the effectiveness of control measures through field and program evaluations.
- Promote process safety and risk control.
- Support strategic processes that guide environmental, safety, and health performance improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Occupational Safety, or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
