About the role#
Syensqo is hiring a Health, Safety & Environmental Engineering Intern for our site in Piedmont, South Carolina. This is a full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027. You will work directly with our site engineers and managers to support production, quality assurance, maintenance, and HSE teams.
What you'll do#
- Support the Health, Safety, and Environmental team on site projects.
- Interact with employees across departments to gather information and complete tasks.
- Digitize work processes and conduct P&ID confirmations and updates.
- Assist with control system algorithm planning.
- Create dashboards for lab processes and materials.
- Update bills of material and instrument records.
- Set up digital tools and improve work order processes.
- Update Safety Data Sheets in our database.
- Help improve safety elements within the facility.
- Report on your progress and activities midway through and at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a STEM degree.
- We prefer candidates pursuing degrees in chemical, mechanical, electrical, systems, or computer science engineering.
Location & details#
- Location: Piedmont, South Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (late May to early August).
- Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $22-$24 per hour, plus potential bonus or incentives.
- Housing support: Up to $2,500 for students relocating from at least 50 miles away.
