About the role#
Syensqo is hiring a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering student for a full-time summer internship. You will work on-site at our manufacturing facility in Piedmont, South Carolina, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside experienced process and project engineers.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical expertise and day-to-day support for the manufacturing facility.
- Collaborate with operations, quality, warehouse, and maintenance teams.
- Troubleshoot issues and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Lead improvement projects, including writing management of change documentation, updating records, training staff, and developing digital applications.
- Perform all tasks with a focus on safety, including conducting risk assessments and hazard avoidance.
- Maintain and clean your personal protective equipment, following all site safety rules.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.
- Completion of at least one year of college coursework.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- A reliable, self-motivated, and conscientious work ethic.

- Location: Piedmont, South Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Housing support of up to $2,500 is available for students relocating from at least 50 miles away.
