About the role#
Syensqo is hiring a Quality Intern to join our team in Piedmont, South Carolina. This is a full-time, paid position that offers industry experience and housing support of up to $2,500 for students relocating from at least 50 miles away. You will work on-site to help establish and improve quality practices for the design, manufacture, and validation of materials.
What you'll do#
- Establish and improve quality procedures for material design and validation.
- Lead problem-solving efforts to fix quality and productivity issues with test equipment.
- Manage area-specific Material Review Board activities and participate in failure analysis.
- Develop statistical process controls by maintaining control charts.
- Support manufacturing by analyzing production lines to find the root cause of non-conformances.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
- Thorough knowledge of inspection and quality assurance techniques, instruments, and procedures.
- A background in aerospace or serial automotive manufacturing, including familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of AS9100, ISO9001, and Nadcap guidelines.
- Experience participating in and supporting quality assessments, surveillance, or audits.
