About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while preparing you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. This is a part-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment at all workstations.
- Provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on key learning experiences.
- Contribute to a high-performing team and embrace a growth mindset.
- Maintain self-awareness and provide coaching to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities as directed by leadership.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time.
- Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
