About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective pharmacy environment while managing patient care programs. You will support the pharmacy team by modeling company values and showing empathy to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Display empathy and compassion during every patient interaction.
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment within the retail pharmacy.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Align team members around the goal of better health outcomes.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Capacity to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Boardman, Ohio.
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- The pay range for this role is $20.00 to $23.75 per hour.
- This position is eligible for various benefits including dental, vision, and wellness resources, depending on hours worked.
