About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients. This is a part-time role that involves supporting patient care programs and helping manage pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Deliver exceptional care to every patient.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Handle tasks related to patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and inventory management.
- Assist with workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
