About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will assist in maintaining a safe environment while delivering care to patients. This role involves managing patient care programs, supporting workflow, and ensuring quality assurance. You will also help foster a team culture focused on empathy and enthusiasm.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment in the pharmacy.
- Deliver care to patients and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Promote a team culture that encourages caring and enthusiasm.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and using finger dexterity for typing and handling items.
- Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
