About the role#
The Aetna Managed Medicaid Fellowship introduces two pharmacists to the health plan side of pharmacy benefits management. This full-time, remote position focuses on utilization management to deliver optimized medication use and high-quality outcomes. You will work across various Medicaid Pharmacy shared services teams and individual health plans to build experience in clinical and operational administration.
What you'll do#
- Participate in shared service functions for clinical and operational administration of pharmacy benefits.
- Focus on utilization management projects that support medication optimization and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate on initiatives across multiple Medicaid Pharmacy teams and health plans.
- Attend training programs and professional meetings as required.
What you'll need#
- PharmD degree from a U.S. accredited program.
- Pharmacist licensure within 90 days of your hire date.
- Working knowledge of drug information resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- A proven track record of high performance and a growth mindset.
Location & details#
- This role is remote.
- Employment is full-time at 40 hours per week.
