About the role#
The Marketing Intern supports Crystal Group initiatives by assisting with content development, digital marketing, market research, event coordination, and campaign execution. You will work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to communicate company capabilities, culture, and value to customers and industry partners. This role reports to the Director of Marketing and Strategy and involves collaboration with multiple departments across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Create content for social media, email campaigns, websites, presentations, and newsletters.
- Draft and edit copy that explains company products and the employee-ownership story.
- Support the planning, scheduling, and publishing of organic social media content.
- Assist with photography, video projects, and employer-branding initiatives.
- Maintain website content, product information, and digital resources.
- Research customers, competitors, industry trends, and potential business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity including press releases, social media, and trade shows.
- Help plan and execute trade shows, customer events, and career fairs.
- Assist with event logistics, promotional materials, and post-event follow-up.
- Maintain marketing calendars, project plans, and campaign documentation.
- Enter data into customer relationship management and project-management systems.
- Track marketing activity and report on campaign results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for marketing, communications, business, or graphic design.
- Junior or senior standing.
- Must be a U.S. person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected-person status).
- Ability to work full-time and on-site.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to write clear, engaging content.
- Research and analytical skills with the ability to summarize trends.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing practices.
- Willingness to learn new marketing tools and technology.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship.
- Locations include Hiawatha, IA and Cedar Rapids, IA.
- The role is paid.
