About the role#
As a Data Engineering Intern, you will join the Data Engineering team to help design, develop, and optimize data flows across the organization. This role influences how our executives, analysts, and other data consumers access information. You will work closely with application teams and product managers to ensure our data infrastructure supports enterprise-scale insights.
What you'll do#
- Design and build the next generation of our data platform.
- Develop and automate systems to process data at an enterprise scale.
- Create logging, metrics, and alerts to monitor data processes.
- Collaborate with product managers and application teams to develop data models and schemas.
- Maintain data integrity within production systems.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience designing, developing, and testing high-performing data warehouse and BI solutions.
- Hands-on experience with real-time data pipelines such as Kinesis or Kafka.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Understanding of database architecture, including MPP, and experience with BI tools like Tableau, Pentaho, or Power BI.
- Experience with ETL and data transformation tools like Pentaho Data Integrator, Talend, or Informatica.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or columnar databases like Snowflake, Vertica, or Redshift.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship based in Dallas, Texas.
