About the role#
The Trading Analytics intern joins the Strategy, Analytics, and Portfolio Optimization organization. You will gain experience across market analytics, economics, and quantitative work streams that support our trading and risk decisions. Interns work alongside analysts, quants, and traders on live commercial projects involving crude oil, NGLs, natural gas, power, and LNG. You will be paired with a supervisor, mentor, and buddy throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and maintenance of supply and demand balances and fundamental models.
- Analyze industry reports and production data to generate market intelligence.
- Assist in preparing market updates and ad hoc research summaries.
- Support the development and testing of pricing, simulation, or optimization models.
- Deliver a defined project with clear milestones and a final presentation to Commercial leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, or Environmental Engineering.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Minimum of ten continuous weeks of availability for the internship.
- Strong foundational skills in Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Houston, Texas.
- The program occurs during the Summer of 2027.
