About the role#
The Accounting & Finance internship is a 10 to 12-week summer program designed to provide hands-on experience in the energy industry. Interns participate in a structured assignment supported by orientation, teambuilding, and community service activities. Throughout the program, you will receive ongoing coaching and performance appraisals from a dedicated supervisor and mentor. The internship concludes with a presentation to local management regarding your project work and program experience.
What you'll do#
- Perform accounting and financial tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
- Engage in forecasting, budgeting, cash management, and economic valuation activities.
- Participate in internal audit processes, including risk identification and control validation.
- Interact with upper management through seminars and professional networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams to monitor product volume accuracy, invoicing, and vendor performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Standing as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student with an expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Fall 2029.
- A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work on-site for at least 10 continuous weeks starting in mid-late May 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without company sponsorship.
