About the role#

This internship with Chartwells Higher Ed at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte offers hands-on experience in the hospitality and culinary arts industry. You will work closely with leadership to develop professional competencies, including operations, menu planning, and client relations. What you'll do#

• Execute operational standards and maintain quality from the start to the end of each shift.
• Provide operational support for serving platforms and assist with menu item production.
• Ensure an exceptional guest experience through quality service, food presentation, and merchandising.
• Support inventory management, including receiving and storage.
• Apply knowledge of safe equipment operation and food safety standards.
• Contribute innovation to services and assist with associate learning and development.

• Note: This position is not eligible for paid time off or company benefits. Work schedules are determined based on class schedule and business needs. As this role is based in an educational facility, work may be reduced or paused during academic breaks.
