About the role#
The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with essential care tasks and help maintain a therapeutic environment. This role focuses on hands-on learning, team collaboration, and providing safe, organized care to improve the patient experience.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care within your scope of practice, including vital sign monitoring and hygiene assistance.
- Communicate with the care team through handoffs and reporting changes in patient conditions.
- Perform hourly rounding and purposeful patient interactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets safety and compliance standards.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance, including glucometers, bladder scanners, and scales.
- Document tasks and observations accurately and on time.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- Zero to one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- CPR certification issued by the AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card for Skilled Nursing.
