About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a clinical setting. You will work alongside therapists to support patient care and gain exposure to various therapy disciplines. This role is designed for students pursuing healthcare paths such as Kinesiology, Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or Psychology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare for therapy sessions by setting up equipment and creating necessary materials.
- Assist patients directly during treatment, including mobility work, transfers, and guided activities.
- Help therapists with specialized techniques like serial casting and gait training.
- Score assessments, track patient outcomes, and create support tools.
- Maintain equipment, manage supplies, and ensure smooth clinic flow.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current post-secondary student pursuing a healthcare-related path.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- You should be reliable and detail-oriented.
Location & details#
- Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
- This is a paid, part-time position.
- The schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM to Noon.
- The term is rolling.
