About the role#
Community Health Resources is seeking a Master's Level Intern for our Adult Outpatient program in Bloomfield, Connecticut. This position offers 20 hours per week of training and experience in a community-based behavioral health setting. You will work alongside our staff to provide care for adults dealing with mental illness, addiction, or trauma.
What you'll do#
- Perform diagnostic evaluations for psychiatric and substance abuse concerns.
- Conduct assessments and consultations.
- Provide treatment for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Assist with medication evaluation and monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a master’s degree program in a mental health field.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience in mental health treatment is preferred but not required.
