About the role#
This internship provides firsthand experience in clinical mental health and substance abuse treatment. Interns work within the IICAPS program, which serves children and adolescents aged 3 to 18 who are at risk of hospitalization. The program focuses on stabilizing youth in their homes and communities while improving their relationships within their families, schools, and local environments.
What you'll do#
- Provide community-based clinical services.
- Conduct case management and coordination for children and adolescents.
- Develop strength-based comprehensive assessments and treatment plans.
- Assist with independent living skills, outreach services, and medication monitoring.
- Collaborate with experienced staff members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in a mental health field, such as Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated experience in mental health treatment is preferred but not required.
