About the role#
This is a two-semester internship within the Child Outpatient Program in Enfield. You will work with children, adolescents, and families to provide psychiatric and diagnostic evaluation and treatment. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced staff while earning school credit.
What you'll do#
- Gain training in clinical mental health and substance abuse evaluation.
- Assist with assessments and medication monitoring.
- Help clients develop independent living skills.
- Provide outreach treatment services.
- Collaborate with the clinical team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in a mental health field.
- A valid driver's license.
- Previous experience in mental health treatment is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Enfield, Connecticut.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexibility. You must be available at least two nights per week until 8pm on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.
- This is an unpaid internship.
