This internship provides clinical training within the Child Outpatient Program, focusing on psychiatric and diagnostic evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, and families. Interns work alongside experienced staff to gain practical experience in a behavioral health setting.
What you'll do#
- Participate in clinical mental health and substance abuse evaluation and treatment.
- Assist with assessments and the development of independent living skills.
- Engage in outreach treatment services.
- Support medication evaluation and monitoring processes.
- Collaborate directly with dedicated clinical staff.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master’s degree program in a mental health-related field, such as Psychology, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience in mental health treatment is preferred but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Enfield, Connecticut.
- Term: Summer 2026 (2-semester internship).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexibility; must be available at least two nights per week until 8:00 PM (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday).
- This position is unpaid.
