About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship within the Trust Company at Commerce Bank. You will rotate through departments including Financial Planning, Institutional, Private Client, Private Banking, and Portfolio Management. During these rotations, you will work directly with team members to gain exposure to their daily responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Attend weekly and monthly departmental meetings.
- Shadow team members and participate in one-on-one sessions to understand their roles.
- Support department requests and assist with key projects.
- Attend client meetings when appropriate.
- Prepare presentations and materials for meetings.
- Conduct research and write reports on your findings.
- Assist with prospect spreadsheet research, mass mailings, and event support.
- Present your project reports and findings to the team.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Sophomore or Junior standing in a Bachelor’s program for Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Adaptability and resilience in various situations.
Location & details#
- Location: Clayton, Missouri.
- Term: Summer 2027 (11 weeks).
- Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
