About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship based in Columbia, Missouri. You will gain hands-on experience in the banking industry through a rotational program that covers Commercial, Treasury, Trust, Retail, and Community Markets. This role is designed for students interested in joining the Ascend Program to become a Relationship Manager.
What you'll do#
- Support relationship and portfolio managers with loan documentation, on-boarding, and monitoring.
- Conduct financial analysis for companies across various industries.
- Train on credit analysis and the underwriting process, including cash flow, loan structure, and collateral.
- Participate in loan committee meetings for new requests and renewals.
- Attend networking and personal development events.
- Join relationship managers and product partners on client calls.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
- Basic knowledge of banking, accounting, and finance principles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Interest in sales and a willingness to participate in client calls.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
