About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027. You will join the North Carolina Space Grant and Collier Aerospace cohort to gain hands-on experience with HyperX software. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support customer workflows and contribute to software development projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply HyperX to assist customers with their technical needs.
- Work directly with customers and the application engineering team to identify technical requirements.
- Document customer needs and features of interest for internal teams.
- Keep software documentation and training exercises useful and up-to-date.
- Support the sales process during introductory and product evaluation phases.
What you'll need#
- US citizenship is required.
- An in-progress bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil engineering.
- Course work in Statics is required.
- Course work in Strength of materials, Composites, and Finite element analysis (FEA).
- Experience or strong academic preparation in aerospace structural analysis.
- Ability to learn HyperX and communicate directly with customers.
- Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.

- This role is based on-site in either Raleigh, North Carolina, or Huntersville, North Carolina.
- This is a full-time summer internship.
