About the role#
This internship focuses on integrating AI tools into HyperX, our .NET desktop application used by engineers in the aerospace industry. You will work with our research and development teams to build new features that bridge the gap between AI workflows and our existing software. This is a temporary, full-time position for Summer 2027 based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Work with the engineering team to define specific use-cases for AI tools.
- Plan, design, and prototype new features that allow AI tools to interoperate with HyperX.
- Write and test code using C#.
- Maintain and support existing tools, including RAG systems and MCP servers.
What you'll need#
- You must be a US citizen.
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- You have proficiency in an object-oriented, statically typed language like C#, C++, or Java.
- You can read, navigate, and extend a large codebase.
- You have a strong grasp of data structures and algorithms.
- You have a working knowledge of concurrency, thread safety, and structured database formats.
