About the role#
We are looking for a Construction Operations Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in field operations, project management, and construction processes within the paving and infrastructure industry. You will support site teams to ensure projects are completed safely and according to specifications.
What you'll do#
- Assist field operations teams with daily tasks for paving and construction projects.
- Support project managers and site supervisors with scheduling, communication, and documentation.
- Observe construction site safety protocols and help maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct quality control checks and monitor project progress on-site.
- Help coordinate equipment, materials, and labor to support workflow.
- Assist in maintaining project records, such as equipment logs, timesheets, and reports.
- Collaborate with safety, quality control, and engineering teams.
- Participate in site meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- A strong interest in infrastructure development, paving, and construction operations.
- A basic understanding of construction materials, processes, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work outdoors on active construction sites in various weather conditions.
