About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting within the construction industry. You will work alongside Regional Controllers and Staff Accountants to gain exposure to the full range of accounting functions. The program focuses on applying classroom concepts to real business operations through project work and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Support safety initiatives and follow company policies, including the code of ethics and workplace conduct.
- Assist with inventory transactions and physical measurements.
- Participate in job costing processes.
- Learn about internal controls within an industry setting.
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify and improve efficiencies.
- Gain experience using multiple computer systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- A valid driver license and a clean driving record.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office products.
- Ability to perform tasks in an office environment, including sitting for long periods, with occasional travel and site visits that may involve walking on uneven terrain.
