About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Liverpool, New York. You will join the team for the Summer 2027 term to gain hands-on experience in heavy civil construction. You will work on-site alongside project engineers and site superintendents to support daily field operations and project delivery.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project engineers and site superintendents to manage construction costs and schedules.
- Assist in the coordination and supervision of daily field operations.
- Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions.
- Track construction materials, labor productivity, and schedule adherence.
- Work with project managers to maintain quality standards and safety compliance.
- Contribute to data collection and reporting for continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering with a construction focus, or a related field.
- A strong interest or background in construction project management.
- A good understanding of construction site operations and field management practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented approach with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
