About the role#
CNO Financial Group is hiring a Fixed Income Credit Research Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work within the 40|86 Investment Research department to support our team of analysts and portfolio managers. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Carmel, Indiana. The program runs from May 17 through August 06, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Research companies and industries to support investment decisions.
- Build, update, and maintain financial models with guidance from senior staff.
- Track company news, earnings releases, and industry trends.
- Prepare presentations, market updates, and research summaries for the team.
- Collaborate with analysts, portfolio managers, and traders on investment projects.
- Participate in networking events, leader talks, and development sessions.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related business field.
- Status as a rising junior or senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-12 week duration of the program.
- Preference for candidates located in the Central or Eastern US time zones.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Carmel, Indiana.
- Work is performed on-site.
- Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius of the corporate office.
- Paid holidays include Memorial Day and the 4th of July.
