About the role#
Interns join the ClearPath team for the fall semester to gain exposure to Capitol Hill, the Administration, and industry stakeholder relationships. You will be assigned to a specific team, such as Policy, Government Affairs, or Operations, based on your professional goals while collaborating across the organization. This role is designed to supplement your academic background with real-world experience in clean energy policy and advocacy.
What you'll do#
- Execute research and analysis to identify needs and develop solutions.
- Support the production of fact sheets, newsletters, op-eds, and educational materials.
- Attend congressional hearings on energy and prepare briefings for the team.
- Coordinate and attend events, hearings, and briefings to drive messaging.
- Educate target audiences and key stakeholders on ClearPath priorities.
- Participate in meetings, synthesize notes, and facilitate follow-up items.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year university degree program in Communications, Public Health, Political Science, History, Economics, or Environmental Engineering.
- Interest in Capitol Hill operations, political processes, policy, clean energy technologies, or energy systems.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Facilities: Access to an office kitchen, cafe, and on-site gym.
