ClearPath is seeking Congressional Fellows for the Conservative Leadership Program (CCLP). This is a temporary, one-year, full-time educational opportunity for early to mid-career professionals to work within Congressional offices, committees, or caucuses. Fellows will be placed with offices that advocate for conservative clean energy policy solutions based on their skills and the needs of the office. Participants are expected to broaden their policy portfolio and engage in professional development sessions facilitated by ClearPath.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and analysis on policy, technologies, and industry trends related to clean energy, climate, and environmental issues.
- Produce written products and research insights regarding federal legislative, regulatory, and innovation activities.
- Assist offices with administrative tasks, including preparing agendas, staff lists, newsletters, email communications, and social media strategy.
- Network and engage with stakeholders, including the Department of Energy, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Congressional committees, and industry groups.
- Track federal clean energy programs, such as research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) initiatives at national laboratories.
- Communicate complex ideas clearly and convincingly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Perform office duties such as responding to constituent mail, attending meetings and hearings, drafting memos, and tracking legislation.
What you'll need#
- A college degree.
- 2-5 years of experience in a highly related field.
- Strong writing and analytical skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Professional experience in climate or clean energy policy is a plus.
- An interest in conservative clean energy policies and a commitment to the mission of ClearPath.

- Location: Washington, District of Columbia (On-site).
