    About the role#

    ClearPath is seeking Congressional Fellows for the ClearPath Conservative Leadership Program (CCLP). This is a temporary, one-year fellowship designed for early to mid-career professionals interested in gaining experience within Congress. Fellows will be placed in House or Senate offices, committees, or caucuses that advocate for conservative clean energy policy solutions. Participants will engage in professional development sessions facilitated by ClearPath to broaden their capabilities within the energy sector.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct research and analysis on policy, technologies, and industry trends related to clean energy, climate, and environmental issues.
    • Produce research insights and written products regarding legislative, regulatory, and innovation activities across the federal government.
    • Assist offices with the preparation of agendas, staff lists, email communications, newsletters, and social media strategy.
    • Engage and network with stakeholders, including the Department of Energy, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Congressional Committees, and industry groups.
    • Communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Support daily office operations, such as responding to constituent mail, attending hearings, and tracking legislation.
    • Track federal clean energy programs, including research and development initiatives at national laboratories, to make recommendations for improvement.

    What you'll need#

    • A college degree.
    • Two to five years of experience in a highly related field.
    • Strong writing and analytical skills.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • A professional and personal commitment to ClearPath's mission and interest in conservative clean energy policies.
    • Professional experience in climate or clean energy policy is a plus, as is prior exposure to Capitol Hill or government agencies.
    • A solid understanding of the legislative process and current policy issues.
