About the role#
This internship focuses on turning workforce data into clear insights for HR and business leaders. You will work on projects involving turnover reporting, talent acquisition analytics, and executive scorecards. You will also assist in building AI-enabled prototypes, such as natural-language data exploration tools. This role requires careful attention to data quality and governance across various HR systems.
What you'll do#
- Partner with the HR Data and Analytics Lead to define project requirements and success measures.
- Clean, reconcile, and validate data from sources like Workday, Snowflake, and Excel.
- Build calculations and visualizations to support HR decision-making.
- Use Python, SQL, and business intelligence tools to develop analyses.
- Document your logic, testing results, and any limitations in your work.
- Communicate findings through dashboards, written summaries, and presentations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
- Foundational experience with data analysis and visualization.
- Exposure to Excel and at least one of the following: Python, SQL, Power BI, or Streamlit.
- A strong interest in people analytics and responsible AI.
- Ability to work in the greater Milwaukee area during the summer.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week.
- Modality: Hybrid. You must have a quiet workspace for remote tasks, with the option to work in the office.
