About the role#
This internship supports the OPTIMA business through brand, consumer insight, and product development initiatives. You will work alongside marketing, product management, sales, and engineering teams to turn data into practical insights. This role offers hands-on experience with a premium automotive brand while contributing to projects that strengthen marketing effectiveness and portfolio growth.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and execution of digital, retail, event, sponsorship, and experiential marketing programs.
- Coordinate marketing content, assets, timelines, approvals, and performance inputs with internal teams and agency partners.
- Conduct research on consumer needs, competitive products, market trends, pricing, and messaging.
- Support product concept evaluation, business-case inputs, positioning, and launch-readiness activities.
- Coordinate product information, specifications, claims, samples, and milestone tracking across workstreams.
- Analyze consumer reviews, event feedback, surveys, and retailer input to create competitive comparisons and recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Product Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in the greater Milwaukee area during the summer.
- Experience with Power BI or other analytics tools is a plus.
- Interest in automotive, powersports, marine, off-road, or enthusiast markets is preferred.
