About the role#
This year-round internship offers law students the opportunity to gain practical experience in corporate and business-related law. You will work with the Corporate and US & Canada/Global Legal Operations teams, supporting functions such as treasury, tax, risk management, and global procurement. This role is paid and requires candidates to be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Apply educational knowledge to solve real-world business problems and support day-to-day legal service needs.
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer and procurement contracts, intercompany loans, and other legal documentation.
- Research developments in laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact the business.
- Develop and update training materials regarding contracting, risk management, and compliance.
- Analyze contractual disputes and review regulatory compliance requirements to identify and address potential gaps.
- Collaborate with peers and present findings to the Clarios executive leadership team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in law school with 1L or 2L standing, pursuing a Law Degree.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- A self-starting attitude with a desire to learn and the ability to ask questions.
- U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Modality: Hybrid. During the school year, this typically involves 1 day in the office per week. During summer 2027, this involves 2-3 days in the office per week.
- Term: Fall 2026 through summer 2027, with a possible extension through the 2027-2028 school year.
- Schedule: Part-time (minimum 10 hours per week) during the school year and approximately 40 hours per week during the summer.
