About the role#
This is a year-round internship opportunity for law students to gain practical experience in corporate and business-related law. Interns will work with the Clarios Corporate and US & Canada/Global Legal Operations teams, supporting core functions such as treasury, tax, risk management, global procurement, and M&A. This role offers exposure to executive leadership and the chance to contribute to real-world business solutions.
What you'll do#
- Support day-to-day legal service needs, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating customer and procurement contracts.
- Research and report on developments in laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact the business.
- Assist in the creation and management of policies, intercompany loans, and other legal documentation.
- Develop and refresh training materials on contracting, risk management, and compliance topics.
- Collaborate with peers on projects and present findings to the Clarios executive leadership team.
- Analyze contractual disputes and review regulatory compliance requirements to identify and address potential gaps.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in law school with 1L or 2L standing.
- Pursuing a Law Degree.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- A self-starting, motivated mindset with a willingness to learn and ask questions.
- U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
- Interest in contracting, corporate law, and dispute resolution.
Location & details#
- Location: Hybrid in the Greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.
- Term: Fall 2026 through summer 2027, with a possible extension through the 2027-2028 school year.
- Schedule: Part-time (minimum 10 hours per week) during the school year and approximately 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, requiring regular contact with the team and a quiet workspace for remote tasks.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
