About the role#
Citizens is hiring Summer Analysts for the Capital Markets and Advisory team in Baltimore. This is a 10-week, full-time internship starting in June 2027. You will work alongside junior and senior professionals to prepare, analyze, and execute investment banking transactions. The team focuses on M&A, valuation, and strategic advisory engagements, specifically within the Downstream Energy and Convenience Retail industries. This program serves as the primary pipeline for full-time Investment Banking Analyst roles.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial modeling, comparable company and transaction analyses, and leveraged buyout valuations.
- Draft key marketing and transaction-related documents, including information memoranda.
- Develop new business ideas, pitch strategies, and transaction structuring scenarios.
- Assemble and deliver pitch presentations for clients.
- Conduct industry research to support live and prospective engagements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program with a graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2, with a 3.5 preferred. Please list your cumulative GPA on your resume.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to complete a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link.
- Coursework or experience in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred.
- Permanent work authorization in the United States is required. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
