About the role#
Citizens is seeking Summer Analysts to join the Capital Markets and Advisory team for a 10-week program starting in June 2027. This internship serves as the primary source for full-time Investment Banking Analyst hires. You will work alongside junior and senior professionals to prepare, analyze, and execute investment banking transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market. Interns are assigned to active and prospective engagement teams to gain exposure to the daily responsibilities of an investment banker.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial modeling, comparable company and transaction analyses, leveraged buyout analyses, and valuation analyses.
- Draft key marketing and transaction-related documents.
- Develop new business ideas, pitch strategies, and transaction structuring scenarios.
- Assemble and deliver pitches and presentations.
- Conduct industry research to support client objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program with a graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, with 3.5 preferred. Please include your GPA on your resume.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Permanent work authorization in the United States. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
- Completion of a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link.
- Relevant coursework or experience in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred.
