About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers insight into the Corporate Treasury function at Citizens. You will work on hands-on projects, gain exposure to senior leaders, and build a skill set that prepares you for the Treasury and Balance Sheet Strategies Rotational Program. Interns may be placed in areas such as Funding and Liquidity, Asset/Liability Management, Capital Strategy and Analytics, Central Model Development, or Funds Transfer Pricing.
What you'll do#
- Complete project-based assignments that show how the Treasury department functions.
- Conduct research and analysis to support team priorities and department initiatives.
- Manage risk, optimize the balance sheet, and support strategic decision-making.
- Develop a transferable skill set through practical experience.
What you'll need#
- You are a candidate for a master degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or Business Administration with an anticipated graduation in May or June 2028.
- You hold a minimum GPA of 3.5.
- You have demonstrable experience in project management, financial analysis, and relationship building.
- You possess a working knowledge of platforms like Microsoft Office and Bloomberg.
- You have the ability to plan your workload and work under pressure with accuracy.
- You demonstrate outstanding written and oral presentation skills.
- CFA Charterholder status or progress toward the designation is highly preferred.
- You must successfully complete a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The pay rate is $40 per hour.
- Work is on-site in Boston, Massachusetts, or Johnston, Rhode Island.
- This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States and does not provide visa sponsorship.
