About the role#
Citizens offers an internship program for students interested in banking, finance, and accounting. You will work within Business Unit Finance or Corporate Accounting to apply your academic knowledge to business assignments. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027. The program begins on June 1, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide analytical support for daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting processes.
- Conduct detailed research and analysis on critical business areas.
- Assist with management reporting, consolidation, and analysis for senior management review.
- Participate in month-end close and forecast preparation, including related control functions.
- Collaborate with peers on a final capstone project to address a business challenge and present your findings to senior leaders.
- Handle ad hoc assignments across various finance teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Strong analytical, written, and oral presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- Requirement to complete a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link.
- Permanent work authorization in the United States is required. This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
