    About the role#

    As an Investment Associate Co-op, you will work with Investment Counsellors at CIBC Private Investment Counsel. You will assist in managing portfolios, developing new business, and engaging with high net worth clients. This role provides experience in a brokerage environment and keeps you informed on current domestic and global market trends.

    What you'll do#

    • Support Investment Counsellors with day-to-day activities, including managing agendas and organizing office resources.
    • Engage directly with clients to resolve inquiries, handle complaints, and identify new business opportunities.
    • Process client transactions such as wire transfers, cheque deposits, and cash transfers.
    • Maintain client files, update contact databases, and ensure adherence to audit guidelines.
    • Assist with the Investment Policy cycle, including implementing statements and reviewing portfolios monthly.
    • Prepare and distribute documentation, including marketing materials and account opening paperwork.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with an intention to return to full-time studies.
    • Fluency in both French and English.
    • General knowledge of the financial industry and daily market activities.
    • Strong critical thinking skills and high attention to detail.
    • Ability to build effective relationships with clients and third parties.

    • Location: Montréal, Quebec.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 - April 2027).
    • Work Modality: Hybrid.
    • Employment Type: Full-time.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
