About the role#
This four-month co-op position in a Commercial Banking Centre prepares you to provide service to commercial clients. You will support Relationship Managers in developing client portfolios and acquiring new business. The role focuses on retaining existing clients and growing market share by building loyalty. You will work closely with market contacts and internal partners to identify opportunities for providing advice. This position requires you to stay informed on local market conditions and competition while managing risk.
What you'll do#
- Support Relationship Managers in managing existing client portfolios.
- Assist in acquiring new clients and offer customized solutions to meet specific business needs.
- Collaborate with the Vice-President, Commercial and Commercial Account Managers to prepare and manage client presentations.
- Direct clients to the appropriate members of the RBC team to address the needs of business owners.
- Build external referral sources through networking and participate in marketing activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program related to Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to complete financial studies and risk analysis.
- Experience in assembling financing solutions for clients with varying levels of complexity.
- Proven skills in networking and client acquisition.
- Ability to cultivate solid relationships with partners.
- Bilingualism in English and French is required to serve our clients effectively.
