About the role#
The Investment Strategy Group (ISG) at CIBC supports Wood Gundy Wealth-Advisory teams. This role involves managing proprietary equity and balanced portfolios, hosting calls, and contributing to financial market reports. You will assist with publications and portfolio update processes while taking on projects to improve research capabilities.
What you'll do#
- Support Wood Gundy Wealth-Advisory teams with daily operations.
- Contribute to reports on financial market themes.
- Manage proprietary equity and balanced portfolios.
- Assess quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights.
- Translate complex concepts into clear materials using spreadsheets and presentation software.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to meet shared objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary institution with the intent to return to full-time studies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.
- Knowledge of business, economics, or finance gained through education or experience.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and visual communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Location: 81 Bay St, Toronto, ON.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 to April 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site).
- Employment Type: Full-time co-op.
- Compensation: $51,500 to $60,200 annualized base salary.
