About the role#
As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as an ambassador for the bank, focusing on client-centered sales and problem-solving. You will help clients with their daily banking, credit, and investment needs while collaborating with partners to help them reach their financial goals. This role requires a focus on building rapport and driving client satisfaction through meaningful interactions.
What you'll do#
- Engage with clients in the branch and the community to uncover their banking needs.
- Provide advice and identify opportunities for sales or referrals.
- Educate clients on digital tools and demonstrate how to use them.
- Handle a full range of financial transactions and respond to client requests.
- Listen to clients to understand their needs and take ownership of resolving banking problems.
- Maintain relationships with internal partners to support business growth.
What you'll need#
- Mutual Funds accreditation, or a willingness to obtain it via the Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course.
- A history of success in a target-driven sales environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to build relationships.
- Flexibility, a willingness to learn, and strong personal ethics.
- Digital literacy across devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Availability to work all open business hours.
- A preference for candidates with a background in building client relationships within the financial or service industry.
- Currently pursuing studies in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
