About the role#
The Internal Audit Intern joins a multi-skilled team to deliver core audit services. You will conduct risk-focused audits across various business processes and operations. This role involves identifying internal control weaknesses and advising clients on opportunities to improve efficiency or effectiveness. You will take ownership of assigned tasks, collaborate with clients, and participate in meetings while balancing project management with unexpected issues.
What you'll do#
- Plan and conduct risk-based audits.
- Identify control weaknesses that prevent businesses from meeting objectives.
- Build relationships to address client needs.
- Prepare accurate and concise documentation.
- Communicate potential conflicts or issues to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, such as business administration, data science, quantitative disciplines, AI, or an MBA.
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced Excel skills.
- Dedication, motivation, and the ability to take on high levels of responsibility.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of VBA or programming experience in Python is an asset.
- Demonstrated interest in internal audit, data analytics, technology operations, security, or resilience is an asset.
