About the role#
The Internal Audit Intern joins a multi-skilled team to deliver core audit services. You will conduct risk-focused audits across various business processes and operations. This role involves identifying internal control weaknesses and advising clients on opportunities to improve efficiency or effectiveness. You will take ownership of tasks from start to finish while contributing to the overall purpose of the audit team.
What you'll do#
- Plan and conduct risk-based audits.
- Collaborate directly with clients to identify and address their needs.
- Participate in client discussions and meetings.
- Prepare accurate and concise documentation.
- Balance project management requirements with day to day tasks.
- Communicate potential conflicts or issues to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in a relevant field, such as data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or business administration.
- Strong analytical capabilities and a commitment to audit quality.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to handle high levels of responsibility within short time frames.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Knowledge of VBA, programming experience in Python, or interest in technology audits and data analytics are considered assets.
