About the role#
As a Mainframe Support Co-op, you will join the Technology Operations team to help keep critical systems running securely and efficiently. You will gain hands-on technical experience in an enterprise environment while working alongside experienced team members. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term, with 4 and 8 month opportunities available.
What you'll do#
- Support database-related changes in a mainframe environment, including updates and validation activities.
- Maintain test environments to support stable development and implementation.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and contribute to automation opportunities to simplify workflows.
- Help ensure technologies, tools, and environments remain current.
- Collaborate with teammates and partners to complete assigned tasks and share operational updates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in post-secondary education with an intent to return to full-time studies, specifically in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience with Python, Microsoft Office, and database concepts.
- Exposure to mainframe environments, scripting, or automation tools is an asset.
- Certifications earned through IBM Z Xplore are an asset.
- A strong sense of curiosity and an interest in learning about mainframe technologies.

- Work Modality: Hybrid, with 1-3 days per week on-site.
